6-Dimension Psychological Profiling from Your Birth Chart

Material drive. Risk appetite. Innovation index. Leadership drive. Money type. Entrepreneur probability. Our engine extracts a complete psychological profile from planetary positions — and it's eerily accurate.

Beyond Sun Sign Personality

Every astrology app will tell you that Leos are confident and Virgos are analytical. This is personality profiling at the resolution of a newspaper horoscope — 12 categories for 8 billion people. It is so coarse that it is effectively meaningless.

Anvaya's psychological profiling module operates at an entirely different resolution. Instead of mapping you to one of 12 archetypes, it computes six independent numerical dimensions derived from the specific positions, dignities, and interactions of all nine planets in your birth chart. The result is a behavioral fingerprint that no two charts share.

The Six Dimensions

1. Material Drive (0-100)

How strongly does the chart orient toward material acquisition and worldly success?

The computation: Venus's strength and house placement carry the heaviest weight. Venus in wealth houses (2nd, 11th) with strong dignity pushes material drive high. Jupiter in the 2nd or 11th house adds to it — Jupiter expands whatever it touches, and in wealth houses, it expands the desire for and capacity to accumulate.

The wild card is Rahu in the 1st or 10th house. Rahu is the planet of insatiable desire, worldly ambition, and hunger for status. When it sits in the house of self (1st) or the house of career (10th), it supercharges material drive. The native doesn't just want success — they are consumed by it.

The counterbalance: Ketu in wealth houses (2nd or 11th) pulls material drive DOWN. Ketu is the planet of detachment, past-life completion, and spiritual transcendence. When Ketu occupies the very houses that govern wealth, it creates the renouncer pattern — someone who has the capability for wealth but lacks the desire to pursue it. They may earn well but feel indifferent to accumulation.

2. Risk Appetite (0-100)

How willing is the native to take risks — financial, career, personal?

Mars strong + Rahu prominent = high risk appetite. Mars provides courage, aggression, and the willingness to act under uncertainty. Rahu adds the hunger, the obsession, the willingness to bet everything on an outsized outcome. Together, they create the risk-taking personality: entrepreneurs, traders, athletes, military leaders.

Saturn dominant = low risk appetite. Saturn is the planet of caution, structure, patience, and long-term thinking. When Saturn dominates the chart — strong in kendras, aspecting the lagna, ruling important houses — the native prefers calculated moves, stable career paths, and incremental progress. They are not cowards; they are strategists who avoid unnecessary exposure.

The computation weights Mars's shadbala, Rahu's house placement, Saturn's overall influence, and the balance between fiery planets (Sun, Mars) and earthy/airy planets (Saturn, Mercury) to produce a single risk score.

3. Innovation Index (0-100)

How likely is the native to think differently, disrupt conventions, and create something new?

The key indicator is Ketu in a kendra (angular house: 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th). Ketu in a kendra is the signature of the disruptive thinker. Ketu represents what is already mastered — past-life expertise that manifests as intuitive, unconventional insight in this life. When that energy sits in an angular house (the houses of action and manifestation), it produces people who don't follow existing paths but forge entirely new ones.

Mercury strong adds intellectual agility — the ability to process information rapidly, see patterns others miss, and communicate innovations effectively. Mercury weak but Ketu strong produces the visionary who struggles to articulate their ideas. Mercury strong but Ketu weak produces the articulate communicator who works within existing frameworks.

Uranus placement (a modern addition to the classical model) provides supplementary data on innovation tendency, though we weight it lower than classical factors.

4. Leadership Drive (0-100)

How strongly does the chart push toward positions of authority and command?

Sun strong + Saturn in a kendra = high leadership drive. The Sun is the natural significator of authority, kingship, and command. When the Sun is strong by dignity and house placement, the native has an inherent orientation toward leadership. Saturn in a kendra provides the structural capacity — the discipline, endurance, and willingness to bear the weight of responsibility that leadership demands.

Sun without Saturn produces charisma without staying power. Saturn without Sun produces discipline without vision. Together, they create the leader who both inspires and endures.

The computation also factors in the 10th house (career authority), the 1st house (personal power), and the relationship between the lagna lord and the 10th lord.

5. Money Type (categorical)

Not how much money you will have, but how you relate to money. Four categories:

Accumulator. Strong 2nd house, Jupiter or Venus in wealth houses, Saturn providing structure. These people save, invest, and build wealth systematically. They are uncomfortable with excessive spending and feel anxious when savings dip.

Spender. Venus strong but in mobile signs, Rahu influencing the 2nd house, weak Saturn. These people earn well but spend freely. Money flows through them rather than accumulating. They may have high income and low net worth simultaneously.

Renouncer. Ketu in the 2nd or 11th house, strong 12th house (the house of expenditure and letting go), Jupiter in spiritual houses. These people genuinely do not prioritize money. They may live simply despite earning capacity, and they find meaning in non-material pursuits.

Balanced. No single pattern dominates. These people have a healthy relationship with money — they earn, save some, spend some, and don't obsess about either extreme.

6. Entrepreneur Probability (0.0-0.9)

A composite score combining risk appetite, innovation index, material drive, and money type into a single probability estimate of self-employment success.

The formula weights risk appetite highest (you cannot start a business without accepting uncertainty), followed by innovation (differentiation is survival), material drive (you need the hunger), and money type (accumulators and balanced types succeed more often than spenders).

The scale caps at 0.9 rather than 1.0 because no chart guarantees entrepreneurial success — external factors (market timing, capital access, team quality) always intervene. A score of 0.7+ indicates very strong entrepreneurial indicators; below 0.3 suggests the native is better suited to structured employment.

Famous Chart Validations

Mahatma Gandhi

The engine scored Gandhi with high potential across multiple dimensions but with LOW material drive. His chart had the capability for wealth — strong planets, powerful yogas, favorable house lords. But Ketu's influence on wealth houses produced the classic renouncer pattern.

Gandhi chose voluntary poverty despite having a chart capable of generating significant wealth. He came from a comfortable family. He was a London-trained barrister who could have built a lucrative practice. Instead, he renounced material accumulation entirely. The engine's psychological profile predicted exactly this: capability without desire. The renouncer who could have been rich.

Elon Musk

Mars and Rahu in close conjunction. The engine scored this as extreme risk appetite combined with extreme volatility. Innovation index: very high (Ketu influence on intellectual houses). Material drive: very high (Rahu hunger). Leadership drive: high.

The Mars-Rahu combination is classically associated with bold, sometimes reckless action. It produces people who move fast, break things, and bet their entire fortune on visions that others consider insane. Musk's career — PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX, the Twitter acquisition — is a textbook manifestation of Mars-Rahu energy: enormous ambition, enormous risk, volatile outcomes, and a refusal to play it safe.

Narendra Modi

Extreme leadership drive. Sun strong and Saturn in a kendra, producing the classic authority pattern. The engine scored leadership drive as one of the highest in our celebrity validation set. Material drive: moderate (Modi is known for personal austerity despite holding supreme political power). Innovation: moderate. Risk appetite: high but structured (Saturn channels the risk into calculated political moves rather than impulsive gambles).

Steve Jobs

Ketu in a kendra — the disruptive innovation signature. The engine flagged Jobs's chart for extremely high innovation index. Ketu in an angular house produces the person who sees reality differently from everyone else and has the positional power to manifest that vision. Jobs didn't just innovate; he disrupted entire industries by seeing what nobody else saw — exactly the Ketu-in-kendra pattern.

Bridging Astrology and Behavioral Economics

These six dimensions map onto concepts that behavioral economists would recognize. Risk appetite corresponds to prospect theory's risk preference parameter. Material drive relates to utility function shape. Innovation maps to what economists call "creative destruction" tendency. Money type corresponds to saving rate and consumption preferences.

The difference is that behavioral economics measures these traits through surveys and revealed preferences — after the fact. Vedic astrology computes them from birth data — before the fact. When the two approaches converge on the same profile for the same person, it suggests that planetary positions at birth encode something genuine about behavioral tendencies.

What Your Profile Means

Your six-dimension profile is not a destiny. It is a starting position — a set of innate tendencies that you can work with, work against, or work around. A high risk appetite doesn't force you into entrepreneurship. A low material drive doesn't prevent you from becoming wealthy. These are inclinations, not mandates.

But knowing your inclinations is powerful. If you know your chart drives you toward risk, you can choose to channel that energy into calculated bets rather than reckless gambles. If you know your innovation index is high, you can seek environments that reward unconventional thinking rather than punish it. If you know your money type is "spender," you can set up automatic savings systems to counterbalance the tendency.

Self-knowledge is the most practical thing astrology can offer. Not "what will happen to me" but "what kind of person am I, and how can I work with that?"
